After watching the video today, Consuming Kids, I got an idea that I hope to use in my Public Issues class next year. In this class, we examine public policy, but begin with understanding the Constitution. I would like to do something with what the film today raised regarding the First Amendment and the freedom for marketers to target kids and for groups like the Nag Factor to have the freedom to do what they do. At what point do First Amendment rights become potentially harmful and need to be regulated?
